Girl Crush of the Moment: Jen Brill

I’ve been keeping tabs on Jen Brill for awhile now, but for most of that time, it never occurred to me that I had no idea what she actually does for a living, or has done. But after accumulating too many pictures of her in my inspiration folder, and admiring her style for too long, it finally called for a bit of research:

“BEHIND EVERY GREAT MAN, THERE HIDES A WOMAN”

WHO IS JEN BRILL, TERRY RICHARDSON’S PARTNER, WITH A GREAT PERSONALITY AND A SENSE OF FASHION? HERE IS WHAT THIS NEW YORKER IS ABOUT, AND WHY SHE IS SO UNAVOIDABLY TRENDY. AND THEREFORE, SO UNAVOIDABLY JALOUSE.

…….But hang on just a minute, Jen is far from being a “trophy girlfriend”. Jen tells us she has not got one minute to herself; she is a true businesswoman. “Everything goes so fast here if you want to be part of it, you have to be one hundred times better than anybody else, otherwise just forget New York, go live in New Jersey, get married there and have kids,” I met her in New York, in July last year, and it was just “mid-year calendar” for her. Like many New Yorkers, she works at the speed of light. After having organised trendy events for the Maritime Hotel, she now works for Fred and Associates, still in marketing, still top of the range…….

Great Style? Check. Admirable career? Check. Great personality? Check. Amazing out this world shoes? Check. Bright shoes bright makeup? Check. That’s why she’s my girl crush of the moment. Need I say more? Have you seen her Sophomore NYC photoshoot? Style wise, she tends to favor body conscious skirts/dresses and basics with a twist. Perhaps a basic body hugging dress with crazy studs, or a unique cut. Or a more conservative dress covered in chains with bright red lipstick. Or she’ll wear jeans with a crazy print and a big fur coat. Skinny jeans with crazy purple heels. You get the idea. We love it. We know you do too.

Super random trivia I found amusing: Jen Brill’s favorite candy is reportedly Nerds Rope.
