It’s officially blizzard time here in the East Coast
and unfortunately the winter coats I currently own
are just not going to cut it.
I know, I know. It kind of doesn’t make sense that I ‘m browsing over
winter apparel when I will be going to New Zealand in less than 2 weeks
where it will be SUMMER,
but I just can’t get over how wonderfully warm and effortless
this Balenciaga jacket is.

Little White Dress. Little White Jacket. Little White Skirt.
(and yes, I do realize that I need to stop posting pictures of Dree)
Loving the crop top. Especially with the amazing weather we’ve been getting!
Especially crop tops with some sort of animal print. Like this one above, and this tiger one. Both by Wildfox Couture! Want want want! (probably will have when my next paycheck comes around..and when I get around to shaping my tummy area up..) Lovee the AA one I currently have..but this needs to be added to my summer wardrobe. The prices aren’t too bad.
The key thing to wearing a crop top and not coming off (too) trashy, I think, is to make sure it’s a little oversized and make sure your belly button is covered–either by the top or by a pair of high waisted shorts.

Vintage Elie Tahari Purple Blazer
Hey all! MJ Here.
I guess you can call this LLF’s first real outfit post-
but this is not me. Nor is it Chel.
This, everybody, is my lovely cousin (who refuses to show her face),
who once in a while get things right ( :D)
and wears awesome things stolen from her mom’s closet.
I really wish my camera could do justice to how pretty this blazer is-
it’s the perfect shade of purple/plum and the material is very smooth and nice to touch.
Anyhoos, I am preparing for two interviews tomorrow- wish I had this blazer to wear right about now
Say “Yeaa” if you’re liking light colored blazers for the Spring!
A lovely bright colored one would be nice also. Preferably a nice pastel colored one a la A. Wang.

When it gets too cold and skirts and denim shirt become out of the question, we resort to jeans. Or layer multiple tights. Or we wear both at the same time. Some inspiration for great ways to make your outfit a little more than just jeans and a tshirt.
(1) Always try to add interesting accessories. Be it interesting jewelry, scarf, or bag, or scarf. It adds interest to an outfit, especially after we’ve seen you in the same winter jacket everyday for a week. Switch up the outfit with a different scarf (maybe with a cool pattern), add a cool vintage looking pin, slip on a crazy looking belt, put on a slouchy beanie or fitting hat? (2) So you put on your jeans, now maybe a unique blazer a la Alexa Chung and Lohan, or a leather jacket, a slightly see-through sequin shirt? Or, one of my favorites, an amazing fur vest/jacket? (3) You can always play with your jeans. We all love the slashed jeans we’ve been seeing on everybody, but if you’re not quite ready for that, maybe just a little bit at the knees (like Ashley Olsen?) or cuff it at the ends (if its not too cold). (4) I don’t think I need to tell you but great shoes can always be an easy way out to spice up an ordinary outfit!
What do you do to spice up your average jeans and shirt outfit?
