It Will Catch Like Fire

Found out today that I’ve been unknowingly keeping tabs of Alastair McKimm’s styling work. I’ve saved most of his Vogue China work and a couple of his i-D editorial stylings. Imagine my surprise when, while looking up A. Wang’s S/S ’09 stylist, realized I’ve actually been a big fan of his work for a long time. You’ll probably see me post up a lot more of his work in the future too–this one is a really old one of his (September 06 i-D), but it still feels modern as he manages to make sweats and sneakers look as appealing as six inch heels–but do check out his past work here.

P.S. We saw [Slumdog Millionaire] today. It really is as good as everyone says it is. No joke.

Excuse Me Miss

Very few people can pull off the velvet-leopard print fur combo and embody the cool swagger the way Erin Wasson does. I’ve missed her outfits dearly. Isn’t her RVCA line coming out soon?

Do you feel the Love?

The beautiful Natalia photographed by Steven Meisel.
(I’m not sure which magazine this editorial is in)
I’m in love with this photoshoot- the neon lights, the cigarettes, the broken glass chards, the jaw dropping gowns… it’s glamour to the maxxxx

Don’t like the backseat, gotta be first.

Nylon was nice enough to giveĀ  us a first look at McQ’s upcoming target collection. While we’re not super impressed, we still love McQ and well, what did you expect from a Target collection? In anycase, we each picked out our favorite look. I love the look on the left, (kind of reminds me of that silk dress from A. Wang’s spring collection, and speaking of A. Wang, have you seen his Sak’s video? Still adorable.) MJ is eyeing the bodysuit on the right. Both look like great additions to my summer/spring wardrobee.
