She don’t believe in shootin’ stars, but she believe in shoes and cars

The photos of my new purchases like I promised; minus the shoes, I took the picture while I was packing so there was a bunch of stuff all over the place. I wore the Zara vest out recently for Christmas eve and I think I may love it even more now (even though the studded thing is getting a bit old these days?); though, it jingles a lot when you move. Planning on wearing the scarf soon with my blazer?

The second one is of my cat, Pilgrim (strange name for a cat huh?) He looks like this weird blend of polar bear and cat; he’s got white fur and blue eyes. Lovee him, I’m probably going to spend today at home with him before my flight tonight.

P.S. I’m kind of playing with the idea of this F21 shirt dress; most of the time I don’t find their stuff really attractive, but every so often, I think they get it right. What do you think?

I’ve always wanted to DJ!

By the way, now that I’m back in New York, I get to have good food and shop or whatever. But.

BUT. it is really hard for me to get internet… because I don’t exactly have internet at home? Long story, kinda complicated- but that is true.

So if I’m lucky, I will have a few hours to play on the internet while I’m at my aunt’s printing store.

Anyways, I’m leaving for Florida tomorrow and won’t be back by Saturday!

Countdown

I’m back in NY packing for my trip to Taiwan, and I found this spread from Vogue Paris featuring Carmen and Daria especially helpful in my packing business. Lots of black and white, loose flowy tops, studs (I’m really working on this perfect beach hair), more black!

Things that make me happy this week:

• A nice man helped me with my luggage (it probably weighed more than I did, no joke) on the subway back to NY. When he was about to get off for his stop, he says “Happy Holidays!” to me and that made me smile. Sometimes we forget New Yorkers really aren’t all that bad.
• I found the Zara beaded/studded vest I’ve been lusting after for 3 months today at the new Bryant Park Zara. I also spotted the fringe bag that MJ has been obsessing over. On top of that, I picked up a nice red leopard print scarf that reminded me of Mary-Kate’s LV leopard print scarf
• I received the jacket I bought on ebay: this military/hobo jacket that turned out to be amazing! Pictures of everything soon maybe?

In any case, I hope you all happy holidays!

We’ve no time for later

I kind of miss Freja’s long hair.

Finals are officially over for me! MJ still has one more day to push through..which may not happen because there’s this a crazy snowstorm going on outside (finals may be canceled?). I’ll be heading to Taiwan for the winter break (warm weather!) and MJ will be posting from New York–be excited!

And since MJ already made her Holiday wishlist, here’s mine!

Comfort and Style

Though we’ve been swamped in our studies this past week, we wanted to take the time to let you guys (if you don’t know already) in on James Perse’ online private sale (they only recently opened up their online store). They’re well known for their comfortable basics (and I personally own one of their pocket tees which is amazingly comfortable) and now you can get it at approximately half of the orignal price. Easy style and comfort are exactly what we need (especially after pulling all nighters at the library and heading to our exams), so if you’re interested, go check it out here. (I’m eyeing the silk long sleeve top!)

Delusional

Am I completely delusional to think that maybe this Kimchi Blue Horizan Mohair Cardigan ($58 at UO) might be able to somehow resemble Erin’s Rodarte Handknit one–maybe if I rough it up a little and semi-shred part of it? Maybe my lack of sleep is finally getting to me… ah!
