Red Red Lips

post18

I think it’s safe to say that dramatic red lips in a nice classic Marilyn Monroe shade will always be in. We all become obsessed with funky shades of pink and glitter or nude lips every once in awhile (depending on the season and occasion), but we always depend on the nice red lip for a classy night out.

That being said, it is a dramatic color, if you’re just heading to your 8am class (remember, we are only college students), and more frequently and associated with the more mature and mysterious ones, but I’ve lately become obsessed with the idea of going red with my lips a la Jen Brill. It’s eye catching and adds a new twist to your outfit–though I would be careful to keep the rest of your make up more simplistic to not look overdone and borderline costume/dragqueen-ish…

Product-wise, NARS in Manhunt ($24) is always a reliable pick, but make sure you pick a shade that is right for your skintone and always always keep for lips moisturized! And then, well, have fun with it!

Erin Wasson, at Gucci’s “Tattoo Heart Collection” to Benefit UNICEF

Dear Erin, one of your best outfits yet. Love that vest. I want want want. You’ve also made me reconsider the liquid/patent looking leggings/pants. And your fur jacket is truly amazing.

I should probably have a category for Erin already, since I post about her so much (:
